6 big brown mush­rooms
1.5 tspoons but­ter
3 cloves garlic,finely chopped or grated
blue cheese sliced

I have finally realised that not every­one shares my pas­sion for gar­lic, so use less if you feel it is to much.


Melt the but­ter in a tin cup and add the gar­lic to it.
Place the mush­rooms on a grid over a fire with low heat. Spoon an even amount of gar­lic and but­ter onto each mush­room. Place the cheese onto the mush­rooms. Cover the mush­rooms with a pot lid or tin foil. Cook slowly.

Serve warm.
