1 Tspoon but­ter
1 onion chopped
+- 125g bacon
2 Medium sweet pota­toes, diced
1 kg but­ter­nut, diced
100ml orange juice (prefer­ably fresh)
1 stick cin­na­mon
1 cup of milk
3 cups chicken stock
Orange zest
Sea­son to taste
1 cup cream (optional)


Fry the onions and bacon in the but­ter. When this is done add all of the rest of the ingre­di­ents to the pot. Sim­mer untill all the veg­eta­bles are soft.

Remove the stick of cin­na­mon and liq­uidise the con­tents of the pot untill all is smooth. If you are going to use cream, add it now.
